ABSTRACT
This project „GIS for Kamchatka“ is clearly connected
with previous activities of ÚHÚL - Czech Forest Management Institute (FMI)
in development of forests policy at the countries of „third world“. This
one can be characterized as continuality of Czech republic interests of this
territory.
We would like to export of our know-how of GIS
in forestry creation by means of this project as our help or support
for protection of nature at this unique and marvellous part of our blue planet. All
main characteristics of project are illustrated by this contribution.
