PARAMETRES  OF   PROJEKT

The main topics of this project are implementation of our know-how of applications of fully digital technologies into forest management, and implementation of GIS technology for natural protection policy effectiveness. Two main levels of project are based. First, global view for all penninsula territory and, second, detail processing of GIS for selected testing areas.

The project was suggested for three years, 1996 - 1998 time period. We divided this project for three phases, which penetrate each other. First year of project - the new expedition to Kamchatka was realised (1996). The second phase will be covered by the application of our technologies of GIS at selected testing areas in Kamchatka (1997). Third, interactive consultancy about results of this application between Russian and our experts and presentation of results by the way of arranging the special international conference on Kamchatka in the year of 1998.
